On-site Microsoft Excel Courses Alfreton
In-house closed courses for Microsoft Excel are available for small-group training at your premises in Alfreton (DE55), and surrounding areas of the Amber Valley and east Derbyshire. Tell Us About Your Learning Needs 🡪
Excel is one of the most powerful and useful traditional Microsoft Office apps, but also often one with which people can struggle most, and that they find the most frustrating to work with. In fact, having staff who are confident and proficient with MS Excel doesn't only increase productivity and efficiency, it can even be good for morale and self-confidence and contribute towards a positive employee experience.
What are the benefits of on-site instructor-led Excel training? At FourSquare Training our trainers know that helping students to work effectively with Excel isn't just a business goal, it is also empowering. They're inspirational subject experts and software champions who promote enthusiastic adoption of Excel amongst their trainees. Before the start date they'll discuss your team's training goals with you, whether they're setting off as novice, intermediate or advanced users.
Trainer Experience & Knowledge: Our expert trainers all have many years' experience training Microsoft Excel subjects in their specialist fields daily. Their accreditations include MCT and some are even Microsoft Partners in their own right. All of our regional trainers pride themselves on delivering a superior learning experience every time.

Live Virtual Classroom Microsoft Excel Courses
If you'd prefer your team learns remotely rather than a trainer coming to you "in-house" in Alfreton these small-group Microsoft Excel courses are also available as live virtual, interactive sessions from the comfort of your own office or workplace. These instructor-led courses are taught via MS Teams video conferencing.
What are the benefits of live virtual Excel learning? As we have all become used to Online learning (and live virtual meetings) it is clear that this format has some advantages over traditional face-to-face learning.
If you're looking for local Excel training, then you can't get closer to your doorstep than you can with virtual learning.
Our virtual learning Microsoft Excel courses cater for classes of up to 10 and your learners benefit from full and immersive interaction with the trainer just as if they were in the classroom with you, with engaging hands-on training via live video conferencing that's enriched by features such as live chat, private chat, and sharing screens and documents.
Our virtual classroom Microsoft Excel courses cost £550.00 plus VAT p/day inclusive up to 5 delegates. More learners can be added up to a limit of 10 charged at £50.00 plus VAT per person p/day. Courseware will be provided electronically.
You can find out how to set up a Webex account for a virtual learning MS Excel training course here (Webex for Virtual Learning). If you're using Microsoft Teams, you can find the information that you need here (MS Teams for Virtual Learning).
If you have a group, or groups, of staff that need Microsoft Excel training, then running courses at your own workplace in Alfreton (either face-to-face or as live virtual classroom) is a cost-effective option. Tell us about your learning needs and email us for a quote.
Flexible Excel Courses
What is the best way to improve our Excel skills?
Our Microsoft Excel trainers know that when it comes to using .xls spreadsheets and managing Excel data, we don't all have exactly the same needs and priorities. That's why on our closed courses your trainer speaks with you pre-course so that we can make our training more relevant to your team's key professional development needs where possible.
This won't usually offer much flexibility on a beginners course (since your learners will need core foundational knowledge), but by the time you get to intermediate and advanced levels, there are wider possibilities. So, by concentrating upon your particular needs at these levels we can make our courses more relevant and cost-effective for you.
Plus, if learners have incomplete knowledge at any level, we offer blended Excel courses such as beginners-to-intermediate or intermediate-to-advanced (e.g. a Level 1/2 Excel class, or a Level 2/3 one).
This tailored approach puts your needs at the heart of the learning experience, giving you positive training outcomes and best value for money.
Commercial and Corporate Excel Courses for the Public and Private Sectors
How Many People Should Attend Our Private Excel Courses?
Whilst the number of people who attend our private Excel courses is essentially up to you and depends on the number of learners you have (up to our ten per course limit), we encourage clients to keep class sizes small. This provides a more personable and effective learning experience and allows the trainer to give individual attention to every student.
What is the Teaching Method for Our Excel Courses?
The teaching methodology for our Excel courses is Instructor-led training (ILT), meaning that our courses are engaging, immersive, hands-on and interactive. With this participatory learning method your staff will retain information better, whether they're studying Excel in-person or via live virtual classroom.
And, whilst we're happy to provide lectures, demos and show-and-tells for larger groups (plus drop-in surgeries for ad hoc technical advise and explanation), the ILT approach is by far the most reliable, tried-and-tested way to bring your Excel know-how to life in a small-class-size setting.
