Power BI Level 2 Course Overview

Our two-day Power BI intermediate course takes an in-depth first look at Microsoft's suite of business analytics tools and your students will learn how to quickly transform business data into rich and insightful visualisations.

During this Power BI course you will cover beginners to intermediate topics including:

1. Some of the essential core concepts and practicalities for working with Power BI.
   
   
2. Learn how to work with Power BI datasets.
   
   
3. Learn some fundamental DAX formula language measures.
   
   
4. Get started with producing reports and creating visualisations.
   
   
5. Get started with Power BI Dashboards and Workspaces including understanding permissions and roles.
   
   
6. And, even get to try out some Q&A natural language queries.

The Microsoft Power BI Intermediate training course is a two-day, instructor-led event which will be conducted either on-site at your premises (within mainland UK) or as a live virtual classroom event via MS Teams. Courseware will be provided electronically.

This Power BI course also forms part of the Microsoft 365 Masterclass course.

Power BI Intermediate Training Course Prerequisites

Learners should have the Desktop version of Power BI in order to attend this course. No previous knowledge of the software is required and the course takes students from beginners through to intermediate level with Power BI.

Before attending the course, delegates should have a basic understanding of what Power BI is and does and why it is of benefit to them. A good grasp of Microsoft Excel or similar would be advantageous (but not essential) as would some understanding of the concepts of databases, datasets and data sources.

On-site Power BI Intermediate Training UK

These are corporate in-house training courses conducted at your workplace for small groups. You should aim to book at least a month in advance and the maximum group size is eight per course.

Our 'face-to-face' closed courses for Power BI are delivered as private events and afford more flexibility than off-the-shelf courses with opportunities to tailor content to fit your particular learning needs. Your trainer will discuss your requirements with you prior to the course date.

Two Day Microsoft Power BI Intermediate Training Course Cost

Our Intermediate course costs £1850.00 plus VAT inclusive up to six delegates. There is also a cost of £125.00 p/d to cover accommodation and travel within mainland UK (for offshore locations additional charges apply). More learners can be added for £50.00 plus VAT per person p/day up to a limit of 8.

What is the Teaching Method for Our Power BI Courses?

The teaching methodology for our Power BI courses is Instructor-led training (ILT), which means that our courses are engaging, immersive, hands-on and interactive. With this participatory learning method your staff will retain information better, whether they're studying Power BI subjects in-person or via live virtual classroom.

And, whilst we're happy to provide lectures, show-and-tells and drop-in surgeries, the ILT approach is by far the best way to bring your Power BI know-how to life in a small-class-size setting.

How Long are our Power BI Courses?

Usual teaching hours for our Power BI courses are 9.30AM to 4.30PM with a lunch hour and short breaks morning and afternoon. This timetable is fairly standard across the industry and gives six hours of hands-on Power BI learning, which is an optimal day's training for comfortably absorbing and retaining information and completing practice exercises.
