Power BI Level 2 Course Overview

Our two-day Power BI intermediate course takes an in-depth first look at Microsoft's suite of business analytics tools and your students will learn how to quickly transform business data into rich and insightful visualisations.

During this Power BI course you will cover beginners to intermediate topics including:

1. Some of the essential core concepts and practicalities for working with Power BI.
   
   
2. Learn how to work with Power BI datasets.
   
   
3. Learn some fundamental DAX formula language measures.
   
   
4. Get started with producing reports and creating visualisations.
   
   
5. Get started with Power BI Dashboards and Workspaces including understanding permissions and roles.
   
   
6. And, even get to try out some Q&A natural language queries.

The Microsoft Power BI Intermediate training course is a two-day, instructor-led event which will be conducted either on-site at your premises (within mainland UK) or as a live virtual classroom event via MS Teams. We will provide all courseware and reference materials electronically to use for reference.

Power BI Intermediate Training Course Prerequisites

Delegates should already have access to the Desktop version of Power BI in order to attend this course. The course takes students through both beginners and intermediate knowledge with Power BI and no previous knowledge of the software is required. However, before attending the course, delegates will need to have a basic understanding of what Power BI is and does and why it is of benefit to them. A good grasp of Microsoft Excel or similar would be advantageous (but not essential) as would some understanding of the concepts of database and data sources.

On-site Power BI Intermediate Training UK

These are corporate in-house training courses conducted at your workplace for small groups and are exceptional value and very popular. You will usually need to book at least one month in advance and the maximum number of learners is eight per course.

Our 'face-to-face' closed courses for Power BI are delivered as private courses for your delegates offering more flexibility than off-the-shelf public courses and topics taught can often be tailored to match your learning needs. One of our trainers will discuss your training requirements with you prior to the course.

Our trainers can attend anywhere in mainland UK (for overseas requirements, please enquire). On rare ocassions travel supplements may apply for Power BI training in Central London to cover additional expenses such as congestion charges, but we will endeavour to waive these when possible.

Two Day Microsoft Power BI Intermediate Training Course Cost

Our Intermediate course is charged at £1,600.00 plus VAT and is available at this price for anywhere between one and six delegates. There is also a charge of £125.00 per day to cover the instructor's accommodation and travel costs to anywhere within the UK mainland (for offshore locations additional charges apply). If you have additional delegates you can add them for £50.00 plus VAT per person per day up to a maximum of 8 in total.

How Many People Should Attend Our Private Power BI Courses?

Whilst the number of people who attend our private Power BI courses is essentially up to you and dependant upon the number of learners you have who need to receive the training, we encourage all of our clients to keep your class sizes small where possible and recommend a maximum of eight learners for technical courses such as Power BI. This provides a more personable and effective learning experience for you and allows the trainer to give more individual attention to each and every student.

What is the Teaching Method for Our Power BI Courses?

The teaching method for our private Power BI courses is Instructor-led training (ILT), which means that our courses are engaging, immersive, hands-on and interactive, and thereby facilitate more effective learning and information retention. With this participatory learning method your staff will retain information better, whether they are studying Power BI subjects in-person or via live virtual classroom. And, whilst we are happy to provide lectures, demonstrations and show-and-tells for larger groups (plus drop-in surgeries for ad hoc technical advice and explanation), the instructor-led training approach is by far the most reliable teaching methodology to bring your Power BI know-how to life in a small class size setting.

How Long are our Power BI Courses?

Usual teaching hours for our Power BI courses are 9.30AM to 4.30PM with an hour for lunch and two short breaks morning and afternoon. This timetable is fairly standard across UK training providers and gives six hours of hands-on Power BI learning, which is an optimal day's training when it comes to comfortably absorbing knowledge, undertaking practice exercises and retaining information.

Courses are delivered week days, Monday to Friday during normal business hours.
