The course is available for users of PhotoShop Creative Cloud subscriptions plus those using legacy Creative Suite versions such as CS5 and CS6, and for Mac or Windows operating systems.

What is the Teaching Method for Our Adobe PhotoShop Expert Courses?

The teaching method for our private PhotoShop courses is Instructor-led training (ILT), which means that our courses are engaging, immersive, hands-on and interactive, and thereby facilitate more effective learning and information retention. With this participatory learning method your staff will retain information better, whether they are studying PhotoShop in-person or via live virtual classroom. How Long are Our Expert PhotoShop Courses?

Usual teaching hours for this one-day course are 9.30AM to 4.30PM with an hour for lunch and two short breaks morning and afternoon. This timetable is fairly standard across UK training providers and gives six hours of hands-on PhotoShop learning, which is an optimal day's training when it comes to comfortably absorbing knowledge, undertaking practice exercises and retaining information.

What is the difference between Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite?

Adobe Creative Cloud is Adobe's platform of Cloud-based creative design and desk-top publishing applications and tools (such as PhotoShop, Indesign and Illustrator and so forth) which is licensed as a subscription-based service either for individual CC products, or for the whole of the Creative Cloud suite.

Adobe Creative Suite is Adobe's legacy 'On-Premise' suite of creative design and desk-top publishing applications and tools (such as PhotoShop, Indesign and Illustrator and so forth) which is licensed with a traditional EULA (End User License Agreement) whereby the software is physically installed on your device both for individual Creative Suite products or the whole suite of software applications.

Notes: Adobe PhotoShop Expert Level Terminology in Layman's Terms

1) When you are working in Camera RAW in PhotoShop you are editing an uncompressed version of your photograph with all of the original digital information captured by your camera. This gives you the potential to produce finished work in PhotoShop with much more detail and image quality.

Note also though, that when you view unedited RAW files directly they can appear blurry, because no noise reduction filter has been applied in this format and because they contain more data than the file formats you may have previously been used to. You will learn editing techniques on our Expert PhotoShop course for handling this and producing crisp, clear images when working in Camera RAW.

2) Simply put, a Colour Cast is an unnatural, or unaesthetic mixture, wash or tint of colours in a photograph caused by external lighting conditions, your flash or lack thereof. In PhotoShop you can use the "Remove Color Cast" tool to compensate for and correct this.

3) Blend If in PhotoShop allows you to mask / blend a layer conditionally based upon the Colour Channels in the layer beneath it.

4) Frequency Separation is a technique which allows you to work on the texture of an image without affecting the colour or brightness and (conversely) also allows you to work on the colour of an image without affecting the texture. When it comes to both portraiture and landscape photography, Frequency Separation gives you highly granular control over image repair and retouching.

5) In PhotoShop you can use the High Pass Filter to discover and highlight edges that you want to sharpen. The High Pass Filter increases the contrast of the edges by letting through high frequency information and reducing or blocking low frequency information. When you use the High Pass Filter you can set the pixel radius to determine the area of adjoining pixels (outside of the center pixels - the edges) which will be dimmed. This makes it a great tool for smoothing / softening out skin tone in an image.

There is also an inverse technique known as Low Pass Filtering which achieves the opposite affect. Fairly complex mathematical equations control the whole process which we don't need to worry too much about here.
