It covers the full cycle of photographic production from shooting professional digital photos through to editing them for publication.

What are the SLR Digital Photography with Adobe PhotoShop Training Course Prerequisites?

In order to attend this course you don't need any prior knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, but should be familiar with using a keyboard and a mouse. You should have a license for any copy of PhotoShop either Creative Cloud, Creative Suite, Express or Elements. You will also need your own SLR digital camera and it would be useful for us to know the make and model that you're using prior to the course date.

Digital Photography Training Course Overview

The aim of this photography course is to get you taking your own photographs and then improving them and editing from scratch in Adobe Photoshop*. The first part of the course takes students beyond using auto functions and settings for digital cameras and shows them how to start harnessing the power of manual functions. The second part of the course focuses upon how to improve image quality and add special dramatic effects for use in corporate literature, on the Web or for social media.

How Many People Should Attend Our Private Adobe PhotoShop for Digital Photography Courses?

Whilst the number of people who attend our private Adobe PhotoShop for Digital Photography courses is essentially up to you and depends on the number of learners you have (up to our ten per course limit), we encourage clients to keep class sizes small. This provides a more personable and effective learning experience and allows the trainer to give individual attention to every student.

What is the Teaching Method for Our Adobe PhotoShop for Digital Photography Courses?

The teaching methodology for our PhotoShop courses is Instructor-led training (ILT), which means that our courses are engaging, immersive, hands-on and interactive. With this participatory learning method your staff will retain information better, whether they're studying PhotoShop in-person or via live virtual classroom.

And, whilst we're happy to provide lectures, show-and-tells and drop-in surgeries, the ILT approach is by far the best way to bring your PhotoShop know-how to life in a small-class-size setting.

How Long are Our PhotoShop for Digital Photography Courses?

Usual teaching hours are 9.30AM to 4.30PM with a lunch hour and short breaks morning and afternoon. This timetable is fairly standard across the industry and gives six hours of hands-on PhotoShop learning, which is an optimal day's training for comfortably absorbing and retaining information and completing practice exercises.

Part One: SLR Digital Camera Photography Techniques

1. Moving away from auto-functions and learn to use manual settings including P, S, TV, A and AV
2. Getting started with SLR features and functions
3. Working with ISO settings and lighting techniques
4. How to photograph sharply-focussed imagery with blurred or out-of-focus backgrounds (bokeh effects and depth of perception)
5. Working with exposures and making adjustments and corrections
6. Getting started with motion photography for when your subject is on the move

Part Two: Working with Digital Photographs in PhotoShop

Once your photos have been taken, the course then progresses to exploring techniques for editing and enhancing your digital images.
